Our read: 13 sq ft of house is three to four standard hens by the 4 sq ft rule of thumb. Six is possible if they are out on grass all day. Eight is not a number we'd plan around.

3.9-inch wheels are small for a 59-inch house. On mown lawn they roll; on rough ground they dig in. PawHut publishes no weight, so we make no one-person claim.
What's in the box & assembly
The package is one coop and one manual, and assembly is required. Plan on two people and a couple of hours — worth flagging in advance if you're buying it as a gift.
Care & placement
Two trays instead of one is the reason this coop cleans quickly — slide, empty, rinse, replace. Because there is no run, site it where the hens can be let out into a fenced area or a separate playpen each morning. Move it every few days so the ground under the house dries out between stops.
These are long, heavy, flat-packed cartons, so they travel by freight rather than parcel post. We confirm your delivery window in writing once your order is placed, and you get tracking as soon as the cartons leave the warehouse. If we can't meet the window we gave you, we'll tell you and you can cancel for a full refund.
Plan to be there when it arrives. Freight is a kerbside delivery — the driver is not carrying a 95-inch carton round the back for you.
Assume a build. Flat-packed cartons are the norm in this category, and these are bolt-together frames rather than a hundred wood screws, so a socket wrench and a free afternoon covers most of them. Where this coop's manufacturer states how it ships, the spec block above says so; where they don't, ask us and we'll get it confirmed before you order.
On anything over about six feet, plan for two people. The panels aren't especially heavy, but they are long, and holding one square while you start a bolt on your own is how doors end up not shutting.
If it turns up damaged or faulty, that is ours to fix. Photograph the cartons before you open them, email the pictures with your order number, and we will arrange the replacement part or unit — you don't ship anything back before we ask you to.
